What does being a Baptist mean?

Baptist’s like most other Protestant Denominations believe in the priesthood of the believer. This simply means anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as his or her personal savior; does not need a mediator (priest) to commune with God. The individual can maintain an intimate and personal relationship with God because of what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church, as other Baptist churches is a self-governing body. The Southern Baptist Convention is the largest protestant denomination in the U.S. and the largest Baptist group in the world. However, it is not a governing body but rather a convention of churches who pool their resources to fund  and support the ongoing work of the Gospel. This means the Trinity of Fairview Church Family does not answer to anyone other than God himself.
